Some of the faces on nurses look sad and unhappy to there and seemed like they are bothered t be asked questions. When i call i am left on hold for 10min. Then when i call back especially on weekends the phone keeps ringng no one picks up. Administration is pleasant and helpful.
The food sucks at this location both taste wise and nutrition wise. They serve rice, sweet potatoes, and orange juice to diabetic patients. Confuse patients gets neglected big time. They would be picking in they stool for hours without anyone bothering to clean them up. I would definitely not put my love one in this location, specially if they are confused. Friendly and caring patient-facing staff.

I think I saw only 1 RN nurse with a BSN. The food is awful, which was surprising in a health-oriented facility. The place shows wear, everything is old and worn out, landscaping and outdoor lighting is awful. It makes me think there are money problems. They have good activities for the residents. If you happened to be at The Laurels a few weeks ago, your perceptions might have been changed.

The people there are caring and compassionate. That is a month of my dad's life he will never regain. Therapy pushed her to work hard and she was thankful for that (though not at the time!).

There definitely is not enough staff during certain hours. I know everybody is having problems with getting employees, but especially on the weekends, there's not enough coverage. Some of them need additional training. The décor is nice, although the facility needs some updating. They're currently going through a renovation and replacing the carpet, etc.

It's a very Christian, caring place. One of the nicest places around. Caring staff, great meals, activities throughout the day. Very little turnover for employees. A very small community which make it very home like. So far Brookdale South just seems like a really nice community for loved ones to be at, and based on the experience we have had up to this point we would recommend them to other families.
